Matilde Cassani

Italian, 1980–present

Matilde Cassani studied architecture at the university Politecnico Di Milano (graduated in 2005) and architecture and urban culture (»Metropolis«) at the CCCB (Centro de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona) and at the UPC (Universidade Politecnica de Catalunya) in Barcelona/Spain. She works as an architect and researcher. After her graduation Cassani worked as a consultant for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) [German association for technical cooperation] in Sri Lanka, where she started developing a research project on the post tsunami reconstruction. She furthermore worked as an architect for Stefano Boeri’s Boeri Studio. She currently teaches at the Politecnico di Milano and works at a research project on »Holy Urbanism«.
