James Paul Dallas is a writer and filmmaker based in New York City. He has produced high profile documentaries for CNN Films, Amazon Studios, YouTube Originals, Field of Vision, and the Luma Foundation. These films have screened at major international festivals including Sundance, Tribeca, San Francisco, Berlinale, Viennale, Visions du Reél, CPH:DOX, and New Directors/New Films. His writing on film has been published in Artforum, BOMB, Brooklyn Magazine, Cinema Scope, Film Comment, Filmmaker Magazine, Interview Magazine, the Village Voice and elsewhere. He is a contributing editor for the art journal Extra Extra Magazine and he has curated film series for the Guggenheim Museum, Maysles Cinema, and UnionDocs Center for Documentary Art. He is a graduate of Cooper Union's School of Architecture.
